This Saturday night, just in time for Easter, The SciFi Channel will be hosting the premiere of Rock Monster. If you’re like me, you just stopped reading this to set your DVR. Normally, I wouldn’t really put much thought into SciFi movies like this, but I have a personal connection to it.

My brother in law, Ron Fernandez, wrote the movie! He is also responsible for Grendel, which aired on SciFi last year, around the same time.

Here’s the synopsis on the movie (from SciFi.com):

It didn’t take a king to pull the sword from the stone, but it will take a hero to put it back.

If that isn’t enough to get you to watch, remember, it also stars Jon Polito. Ummm, AKA Otis Bigelow from The Rocketeer?!?!

All I can say is Hell Yes. I’ll be there. In full effect.
