I had heard the rumors of the new anti-phishing links MySpace has put up to combat people losing their profiles to attacks but had not seen the official splash page until today. I wonder if this will really work the way they want it to. Check it out:
What a hassle that is going to be. I’m glad I’m not networking through MySpace very much anymore.
Interestingly enough, I only saw this when I was clicking on a link from a bulletin, not on a separate MySpace page. Do phishers only target certain areas of MySpace? I think it’s just another lame attempt to fix a problem and not even coming close to getting it right.
